Cetaxol Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Mechanism Of Action

Cetaxol Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cetirizine and ambroxol which relieve cough. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.


Pharmacokinets

The pharmacokinetics of cetirizine have been found to increase linearly with dose across a range of 5 to 60 mg. Its Cmax following a single dose has been found to be 257 ng/mL for 10 mg and 580 ng/mL for 20 mg

Bioavailability of ambroxol administered orally is approximately 70–80%. The distribution half-life of ambroxol is 1.3 hours, metabolite is dibromoanthranilic acid (activity unspecified) and Elimination of ambroxol is biphasic, with an alpha half-life of 1.3 hours and a beta half-life of 8.8 hours

Contra Indications
