Chlormit H Tablet is taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the blood. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Never skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Taking this medicine for a long time may require regular monitoring of blood and liver functions.
Chlormit H Tablet works by affecting the balance of certain chemicals (such as serotonin) in the brain. It helps improve mood and feelings of wellbeing, relieve anxiety and tension, helps you sleep better, and increase your energy level
Amitriptyline undergoes extensive hepatic presystemic elimination, and its systemic bioavailability ranges from 33% to 62% after oral administration. A highly lipophilic compound, amitriptyline is widely distributed throughout the body and extensively bound to tissue and plasma proteins
Chlordiazepoxide is a long-acting benzodiazepine drug. The half-life of Chlordiazepoxide is 5 – 30 hours but has an active benzodiazepine metabolite (desmethyldiazepam), which has a half-life of 36 – 200 hours
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Chlormit H Tablet.
Chlormit H Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
The Non-FDA approved indications are anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, insomnia, chronic pain (diabetic neuropathy, fibromyalgia), irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis (bladder pain syndrome), migraine prophylaxis, postherpetic neuralgia, and sialorrhea
Librium (chlordiazepoxide) is indicated for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short term relief of symptoms of anxiety, withdrawal" symptoms of acute alcoholism, and preoperative apprehension and anxiety
Some products that may interact with this drug include: arbutamine, disulfiram, thyroid supplements, other drugs that can cause bleeding/bruising (including antiplatelet drugs such as clopidogrel, NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, "blood thinners" such as warfarin), anticholinergic drugs (such as belladonna alkaloids), certain

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Chlormit H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It can take a week or two after starting this treatment before the effect begins to build up, and 4-6 weeks before you feel the full benefit. Do not stop taking it after a week or two, feeling it is not helping.
Do not stop taking Chlormit H Tablet unless your doctor tells you to do so. Stopping treatment suddenly can cause problems and your doctor will probably want you to reduce your dose gradually when this becomes necessary.
