Bromelain acts on fibrinogen to give products that are similar, at least in effect, to those formed by plasmin. They are small molecular weight active peptides, which regulate prostaglandin biosynthesis and create conditions existing in the healthy organism.
In the duodenum, trypsin catalyzes the hydrolysis of peptide bonds, breaking down proteins into smaller peptides. The peptide products are then further hydrolyzed into amino acids via other proteases, rendering them available for absorption into the blood stream.
Rutoside is a natural flavone derivative. It has anti- inflammatory, anti-allergy and immunomodulating activity 20. Rutoside inhibits platelet aggregation, as well as decreasing capillary permeability, making the blood thinner and improving circulation. Rutin also strengthens the capillaries.
Depending on the surface area and depth of the wound, bromelain blood serum concentrations of no more than 40 µg/ml are expected, with peak concentrations reached after 2 to 4 hours. The terminal half-life varied between 8.5 and 19.9 hours in studies.
Trypsin contains a nucleophilic residue Ser in the enzyme active site which attacks the carbonyl moiety of the substrate peptide bond to form an acyl-enzyme intermediate
Of these, rutin, also known as vitamin P or rutoside, has been explored for a number of pharmacological effects. Tea leaves, apples, and many more possess rutin as one of the active constituents. Today, rutin has been observed for its nutraceutical effect.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
