This medication works by destroying the existing bacteria that cause infections, from within the body and preventing the growth of new bacteria. The regular synthesis of DNA requires the presence of enzymes of bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. It inhibits the activity of DNA gyrase, thus preventing DNA relaxation, encouraging the damage of double stranded DNA and inhibiting the cell division of bacteria. In this way this syrup is efficient in fighting against bacterial infections within the body.
Mechanism of Action: Tinidazole is an antiprotozoal, antibacterial agent. The nitro- group of tinidazole is reduced by cell extracts of Trichomonas. The free nitro- radical generated as a result of this reduction may be responsible for the antiprotozoal activity
Ciprofloxacin is a bactericidal antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone drug class. It inhibits DNA replication by inhibiting bacterial DNA topoisomerase and DNA-gyrase.
The pharmacokinetics of ciprofloxacin in healthy volunteers include a time to peak concentrations after oral dosage (tmax) of 1–1.5 h, oral availability of 0.5–0.7, protein binding of 0.2–0.3, volume of distribution (V) of 2–3 l kg−1, half-life (t1/2) of 3–4 h and fraction excreted unchanged in the urine of 0.4–0.6
Tinidazole is excreted by the liver and the kidneys. Tinidazole is excreted in the urine mainly as unchanged drug (approximately 20-25% of the administered dose). Approximately 12% of the drug is excreted in the feces. The elimination half-life is 13.2±1.4 hours and the plasma half-life is 12 to 14 hours.

Contraindications of Tinidazole+Ciprofloxacin
If you have a history of serious allergic reactions including allergy of the skin due to any antibiotic. If you have serious blood or brain disease. If you are pregnant (especially during the first trimester) or breastfeeding

Breastfeeding women should consult doctor before using this medication.
Ciprofloxacin+Tinidazole is used for bacterial & parasitic infections. It is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections such as acute diarrhea or dysentery, gynecological infections, lung infections and urinary infections
Do not take extra to make up for a missed dose, if you forget to take a dose. Instead, just continue with the next dose.
