Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Ornidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
Metabolism Ornidazole is mainly metabolised to 2-hydroxymethyl and a-hydroxymethyl metabolites in the liver. Both main metabolites are less active against Trichomonas vaginalis and anaerobic bacteria than the unchanged ornidazole. Elimination The half-life is about thirteen hours

DRUG-DISEASE INTERACTION: OFLOXACIN+ORNIDAZOLE may have interactions with colitis (inflammation in the lining of the colon), tendonitis (inflammation in tendons), CNS disorders, myasthenia gravis (neuromuscular disease), peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain), crystalluria (cloudy urine), diabetes, kidney, liver and heart

If you miss a dose of Ciprogyl NF Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
