Citracell 1.38gm Syrup can be taken with or without food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Take it regularly and do not stop taking the medicine even if you get better until your doctor tells you it is alright to stop.
Disodium Hydrogen Citrate is used in the treatment of gout and kidney stone. Disodium Hydrogen Citrate is a urine alkalizer. It works by increasing the pH of urine which makes it less acidic. This helps the kidneys get rid of excess uric acid, thereby preventing gout and certain types of kidney stones
Disodium hydrogen citrate is metabolized after absorption to sodium bicarbonate. Oxidation is virtually complete, less than 5% of citrate is excreted unchanged in the urine.

DISODIUM HYDROGEN CITRATE is a urinary alkaliser indicated for the treatment of renal tubular acidosis, gout and kidney stones. Kidney stones are small, hard deposits made up of calcium, phosphate and other minerals/acid salts that stick together in concentrated urine.
It may increase the blood sodium levels especially when taken with drugs like corticosteroids. Use with caution with diuretics like furosemide since it can cause metabolic disturbances
Shake well before use. Citracell 1.38gm Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Citracell 1.38gm Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Citracell 1.38gm Syrup should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before each use. Mix it in a glass of water or juice as advised by your doctor.
