Cleargel AP Gel is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. You should normally wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine. It should not be applied to broken or damaged skin. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get it in these areas. It may take several weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. Do not stop using it as soon as your acne starts to get better. Ask your doctor when you should stop treatment.
Adapalene modulates cellular keratinization and inflammatory process. This anti-inflammatory effect is due to inhibition of the lipooxygenase activity and also to oxidative metabolism of arachidonic acid. These mechanisms may be the reason for decreased risk of irritation with adapalene.

If you miss a dose of Cleargel AP Gel, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It may take up to 2-3 weeks before your symptoms improve. Cleargel AP Gel may take some time to deliver significant results. Use the medicine as directed and let your doctor know if your symptoms do not improve or get worse.

No, do not overuse Cleargel AP Gel. It can cause over-absorption of the medicine into the body and cause severe diarrhea. If you are experiencing increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Q. What precautions I need to follow while using Cleargel AP Gel?
You need to be cautious while applying Cleargel AP Gel. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, angles of the nose, and inside of the mouth. This medication should not be applied to cuts, abrasions, inflamed or reddened skin, and sunburned skin. Wax epilation should not be performed on treated skin, as it may cause skin erosions.

Cleargel AP Gel makes skin sensitive, so you should avoid spending time in sunlight. If you have to be in sunlight, you should wear sunscreen and wear a hat and clothes that cover the areas treated with Cleargel AP Gel. You should avoid weather extremes such as wind and cold, as this may irritate your skin. Some skin products, such as harsh soaps, astringents, cosmetics that have strong skin-drying effects, should be avoided. In addition, products containing high levels of alcohol should be avoided, as they may further dry or irritate your skin.
