Clopitab-CV 20 Capsule is a combination medicine that is used to prevent heart attack. It contains Atorvastatin that works by reducing the amount of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and raising the amount of “good” cholesterol (HDL) in your blood.
Atorvastatin acid is extensively metabolised in both the gut and liver by oxidation, lactonisation and glucuronidation, and the metabolites are eliminated by biliary secretion and direct secretion from blood to the intestine. In the liver, approximately 15% of absorbed clopidogrel is metabolized by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) system to generate its active metabolite via a 2-step bioactivation process, whereas the rest 85% is hydrolyzed by carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) to an inactive carboxylic acid derivative.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
