Clopitab-CV Gold 10 Capsule should be taken with food regularly at a fixed time each day. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. Lifestyle changes like a low-fat diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medicine to work better.
Aspirin causes several different effects in the body, mainly the reduction of inflammation, analgesia (relief of pain), the prevention of clotting, and the reduction of fever. Much of this is believed to be due to decreased production of prostaglandins and TXA2.
Atorvastatin is in a class of medications called HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins). It works by slowing the production of cholesterol in the body to decrease the amount of cholesterol that may build up on the walls of the arteries and block blood flow to the heart, brain, and other parts of the body.
Clopidogrel works by blocking platelets from sticking together and prevents them from forming harmful clots. It is an antiplatelet drug. It helps keep blood flowing smoothly in your body
Atorvastatin acid is extensively metabolised in both the gut and liver by oxidation, lactonisation and glucuronidation, and the metabolites are eliminated by biliary secretion and direct secretion from blood to the intestine.
In the liver, approximately 15% of absorbed clopidogrel is metabolized by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) system to generate its active metabolite via a 2-step bioactivation process, whereas the rest 85% is hydrolyzed by carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) to an inactive carboxylic acid derivative.
Aspirin is rapidly absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract and results in a measurable inhibition of platelet function within 60 minutes. This antiplatelet effect is associated with prolongation of the bleeding time and inhibition of TXA2-dependent platelet aggregation.
