CO Mupimet Collagen Particles is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands. If it gets into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina rinse with water. It may take several days to weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed to ensure better efficacy of the medicine. If your condition does not improve or gets worse, you should talk to your doctor.
The drug is a unique antimicrobial agent because of its structure and mechanism of action. Mupirocin apparently exerts its antimicrobial activity by reversibly inhibiting isoleucyl-transfer RNA, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein and RNA synthesis.
Metronidazole diffuses into the organism, inhibits protein synthesis by interacting with DNA, and causes a loss of helical DNA structure and strand breakage. Therefore, it causes cell death in susceptible organisms
Mupirocin is administered topically to the skin or the nares. Once in systemic circulation, it is rapidly metabolized to inactive monic acid and is excreted via the kidneys. The elimination half-life is 20—40 minutes for mupirocin and 30—80 minutes for monic acid
The majority of metronidazole and its metabolites are excreted in urine and faeces, with less than 12% excreted unchanged in urine. The pharmacokinetics of metronidazole are unaffected by acute or chronic renal failure, haemodialysis, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, age, pregnancy or enteric disease.

If you miss a dose of CO Mupimet Collagen Particles, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying the medicine.
Apply it as a thin layer onto clean, dry, unbroken skin affected by infection.
It may cause minor burning, stinging or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.
Use moisturizer regularly to overcome the skin dryness during the course of treatment.
