COFSILS LEMON LOZENGE is a combination drug containing two medicines: Amylmetacresol and Benzyl alcohol primarily used to reduce pain and discomfort associated with sore throats and cough. Amylmetacresol works by killing the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections. It also works in the area of discomfort and helps lubricate and soothe the painful sore throat. Benzyl alcohol an antiseptic with local anaesthetic activity works against infectious bacteria. It gives a soothing and cooling effect on the sore throat.
