Colahyal Capsule can be taken with or without food. You should use it regularly at a fixed time each day. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. It may take several days to get the full benefit of this drug. Do not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you it is alright to stop.The medicine is generally well-tolerated with little or no side effects. However, it may cause injection site reactions such as pain, redness, and swelling in some people. Let your doctor know if you experienced any such side effects. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects.
Colahyal Capsule is a combination of three medicines: sodium hyaluronate, chondroitin and collagen peptide which relieve osteoarthritis symptoms. Sodium hyaluronate is the salt form of hyaluronic acid which reduces the friction in the joints and helps them to work smoothly. Chondroitin and collagen peptide are proteoglycan synthesis stimulators which help in the building of cartilage (soft tissue around the joints) leading to joint repair. Apart from this, collagen peptide also lowers pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Sodium hyaluronate functions as a tissue lubricant and is thought to play an important role in modulating the interactions between adjacent tissues. It forms a viscoelastic solution in water.Chondroitin sulfate is excreted in the urine as intact polymers and as partial degradation products. After intramuscular administration, about 37% of the administered dose is excreted by urine during the first 24 hours as high- and low-molecular-weight derivatives.collagen peptides will efficiently reach the target tissues, where they act as building blocks for the cells and help boost the production of new collagen fibers. Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Colahyal Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Do light exercise or take physical therapy to strengthen muscles around the affected joint and manage your weight along with taking this medication.
