Give the prescribed dose of Colicare 10mg/40mg Tablet to your child orally before a meal or as suggested by the doctor. Your child’s doctor may prescribe this medicine for a few days to many days. But, do not continue it for more than 2 weeks without consulting the doctor as excessive and long-term use may have adverse effects on your child. Additionally, do not abruptly stop the medicine by yourself as it may bring back the symptoms or worsen your child’s condition.
Dicyclomine is used to treat a certain type of intestinal problem called irritable bowel syndrome. It helps to reduce the symptoms of stomach and intestinal cramping. This medication works by slowing the natural movements of the gut and by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines
For its use as an anti-flatulent agent, dimethicone 410 acts as an antifoaming agent and it works by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles. This causes the combination of the bubbles to form larger bubbles in the stomach which can pass easily by means of belching
Dicyclomine is an antimuscarinic agent used to treat IBS. Dicyclomine is a muscarinic M1, M3, and M2 receptor antagonist as well as a non-competitive inhibitor of histamine and bradykinin used to treat spasms of the intestines seen in functional bowel disorder and irritable bowel syndrome.
As dimethicone is pharmacologically inert and it is not absorbed, pharmacokinetic studies regarding the volume of distribution are not relevant. Dimethicone 410 does not bind to plasma proteins as it is not absorbed. Dimethicone 410 is not metabolized and it is excreted unchanged
