Coligon O Tablet is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Coligon O Tablet effectively relieves sudden muscle spasms or contractions in the stomach and intestine (gut), thereby relaxing the muscles and improving movement of food. This helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort
Coligon O Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Dicyclomine, magaldrate, oxetacaine and simethicone. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms).

Coligon O Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of acidity-related abdominal pain. It works effectively to reduce abdominal pain, bloating, discomfort and cramps by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and gut. It also neutralizes excessive acid in the stomach and helps in easy passage of gas
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Coligon O Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Coligon O Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Aluminium hydroxide
Aluminium oxide
Amantadine
Antacids
Antihistamines
Benzodiazepines
Chlorpromazine
Corticosteroids
Dicumarol
Digoxin
Do not chew, crush or break it. Coligon O Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Coligon O Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines
Coligon O Tablet helps relieve abdominal pain and discomfort due to acidity.
It should be used only for occasional relief from increased stomach acid. Do not take it for more than 2 weeks, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor.
Inform your doctor if you show signs of appendicitis or inflamed bowel (such as lower abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, nausea, vomiting).
Avoid taking Coligon O Tablet at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines.
Incorporate the folowing lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity:
Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.
Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.
Lose weight if you are obese.
If you are a smoker, consider giving up.
Don't drink too much alcohol.
Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
