Colik Injection is given by your doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
It helps to reduce the symptoms of stomach and intestinal cramping. This medication works by slowing the natural movements of the gut and by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines. Dicyclomine belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics/antispasmodics
Dicyclomine is an antimuscarinic agent used to treat IBS. Dicyclomine is a muscarinic M1, M3, and M2 receptor antagonist as well as a non-competitive inhibitor of histamine and bradykinin used to treat spasms of the intestines seen in functional bowel disorder and irritable bowel syndrome.
Diclofenac binds extensively to plasma albumin. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) of diclofenac is proportional to the dose for oral doses between 25 to 150 mg. Substantial concentrations of drug are attained in synovial fluid, which is the proposed site of action for NSAIDs.

Colik Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Colik Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Veterinary Dicyclomine and Diclophenac Injection is indicated in fever inflammation Pain. It is a smooth muscle relaxant, analgesic and anti-inflammatory injection. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug taken or applied to reduce inflammation and as an analgesic reducing pain in certain conditions

Colik Injection is usually used for short term and can be discontinued if there is no pain. However, it should be continued if advised by doctor.

Yes, the use of Colik Injection can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry. Try to avoid foods that are acidic (like lemons), spicy or salty.

Yes, long-term use of Colik Injection can cause damage to the kidneys. Use of Colik Injection is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Colik Injection can lead to increased chances of side effects. If the recommended doses do not relieve the pain or if you experience increased severity of the pain, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Q. What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Colik Injection?
Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
