Colospa Tablet should be taken in a dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is swallowed whole with a drink of water preferably 20 minutes before a meal to relieve or reduce post-meal symptoms. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Remember following lifestyle modifications like having a fiber-rich diet, increase fluid intake and regular exercise can help you to get better results.
Colospa Tablet relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for the management of your condition.
Mebeverine is not excreted as such, but metabolised completely; the metabolites are excreted nearly completely. Veratric acid is excreted into the urine; mebeverine alcohol is also excreted into the urine, partly as the corresponding carboxylic acid (MAC) and partly as the demethylated carboxylic acid (DMAC).
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Consuming alcohol with Colospa Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.

If you miss a dose of Colospa Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Colospa Tablet relieves symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome such as abdominal pain and cramps, bloating, flatulence and diarrhea alternating with constipation.
Take it 20 minutes before a meal to relieve or reduce post meal symptoms.
Talk to your doctor if your symptoms do not get better within two weeks of taking Colospa Tablet, or get worse at any time.
Stop taking Colospa Tablet and consult a doctor if you experience difficulty in breathing or swelling of face, neck, tongue or throat.
