Corel Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor as it has a high potential of habit-forming.If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may cause nausea and anxiety.The most common side effects of this medicine include lightheadedness, drowsiness, sedation, dizziness, fatigue, balance disorder, unsteadiness, and uncoordinated body movements. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. If you have been taking this medicine for a long time then regular monitoring of blood and liver functions may be required.
Corel Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Chlordiazepoxide is a long-acting benzodiazepine drug. The half-life of Chlordiazepoxide is 5 – 30 hours but has an active benzodiazepine metabolite (desmethyldiazepam), which has a half-life of 36 – 200 hours.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Corel Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Corel Tablet.
Corel Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Chlordiazepoxide is indicated for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short term relief of symptoms of anxiety, withdrawal" symptoms of acute alcoholism, and preoperative apprehension and anxiety.
CHLORDIAZEPOXIDE may have interaction with pain killers (carisoprodol, hydrocodone, methadone, codeine, morphine), sedative-hypnotic (zolpidem), benzodiazepine (alprazolam, clonazepam, diazepam), anti-hypertensive (metoprolol), anti-depressants (amitriptyline, citalopram, escitalopram, duloxetine), anti-histamine (hydroxyzine), anti-epileptic (phenytoin, phenobarbitone), anti-TB (rifampicin), antacid (cimetidine, omeprazole, disulfiram), muscle relaxant (baclofen), cardiac glycosides (digoxin), vasodilators (hydralazine, minoxidil), blood thinner (warfarin), and diuretic medication (furosemide).
Do not chew, crush or break it. Corel Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Corel Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Avoid Corel Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

Corel Tablet is used for the short-term (2-4 weeks only) treatment of severe anxiety, which may occur alone or in association with sleeping problems (insomnia) or personality/behavioral disorders. It may also be used to treat muscle spasms, and to relieve alcohol withdrawal symptoms
