Crisanta Tablet is a combination medicine of Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol. It works by preventing the release of the egg from the ovary. It also makes it harder for the sperm to reach the womb and fertilize the egg.
Ethinyl estradiol is excreted in the urine and feces as glucuronide and sulfate conjugates, and it undergoes enterohepatic recirculation. The terminal elimination half-life of ethinyl estradiol after a single dose of SeasoniqueTM was found to be about 18 hours. The absolute bioavailability of drospirenone is approximately 76% due to first-pass effects. The maximum plasma concentration of drospirenone occurs within 1 to 2 hours after oral administration and is estimated to range between 60 and 87 ng/mL.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
