It acts by inhibiting the release of a chemical substance called prostaglandins, responsible for controlling body temperature. This medicine is meant to be used only in children. Shake the bottle well before use. Give the Crocin Oral Drop as prescribed and for the prescribed duration to your child. Use appropriate measuring cups to give your child the exact stated dose.
Paracetamol has a central analgesic effect that is mediated through activation of descending serotonergic pathways. Debate exists about its primary site of action, which may be inhibition of prostaglandin (PG) synthesis or through an active metabolite influencing cannabinoid receptors
It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates.
There are very rare chances of getting side effects with paracetamol. However, in rare cases, you may experience skin rashes, itching and blisters, allergic reactions and blood-related problems. There is a risk of liver and kidney damage with paracetamol if used too frequently or for long-term treatment
If your child is allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients of Crocin Oral Drop.
If you are giving your child any other product that contains paracetamol.

Paracetamol is a mild analgesic and antipyretic, and is recommended for the treatment of most painful and febrile conditions, for example, headache including migraine, toothache, neuralgia, colds and influenza, sore throat, backache, rheumatic pain and dysmenorrhoea
Medicines used to treat nausea or vomiting like metoclopramide or domperidone.
Medicines used to thin the blood like warfarin.
Cholesterol-lowering medicines like cholestyramine, do not take this medicine within one hour of taking Crocin Oral Drop.
Medicines used to treat bacterial infections like chloramphenicol.
Shake well before use.
Store Crocin Oral Drop at or below 25°C.
Do not freeze.
Protect it from direct sunlight.
Keep it out of the reach of children.
If you missed a dose then give it, as soon as you remember.
Keep a gap of at least 4-6 hours between this dose and next dose.
If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Giving Crocin Oral Drop in high doses may result in serious liver damage.
Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and stomach ache.
However, if you have taken too much of Crocin Oral Drop, contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.
