Dab Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Hydrotalcite and simethicone. Hydrotalcite is an inorganic salt that neutralises the excess acid in stomach. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
Hydrotalcite can cause a decrease in the absorption of Calcium phosphate dihydrate resulting in a reduced serum concentration and potentially a decrease in efficacy.Simethicone decreases the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their expulsion. 2 It has a short duration of action as it is generally given as needed, and a wide therapeutic index as it is not systemically absorbed.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
