Pharmacokinets

Menthol is a selective activator of transient receptor potential melastatin- 8 (TRPM8) channels and is also a vasoactive compound. As a topical agent, it acts as a counter- irritant by imparting a cooling effect and by initially stimulating nociceptors and then desensitizing them. The salivary pharmacokinetic profile of miconazole in the oral gel showed peak concentrations 30 min after each gel application. The mean maximum salivary miconazole concentration over the 12-h period occurred 30 min after the second application of the gel.The plasma half-life of tinidazole is approximately 12-14 hours. Tinidazole is excreted by the liver and the kidneys. Tinidazole is excreted in the urine mainly as unchanged drug (approximately 20-25% of the administered dose). Approximately 12% of the drug is excreted in the feces. This medication is a mineral used to treat or prevent low levels of zinc alone and together with oral rehydration therapy (ORT). It is also used as a topical astringent. Zinc Sulfate Injection, USP is indicated for use as a supplement to intravenous solutions given for TPN.
