Danfree 2% Shampoo should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need, it will not clear your condition faster and may only increase the side effects. Do not use it for longer than your doctor has told you to and let him or her know if your condition does not improve after 2 to 4 weeks of treatment. Make sure not to leave it on the scalp for more than 5 minutes.
Danfree 2% Shampoo is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.
Ketoconazole is 83.7% plasma protein (mainly albumin) bound, and 15.3% is erythrocyte bound, resulting in only 1% of free drug. Animal studies indicate strong binding to the cytochrome P-450 mono-oxygenase complex. Extensive metabolism to inactive metabolites occurs, the products being mainly excreted in the faeces.

Ketoconazole 2% w/w Shampoo is indicated for the treatment and prevention of seborrhoeic dermatitis, pityriasis capitis (dandruff) and pityriasis versicolor that may be associated with the fungus Pityrosporum. For topical administration.
Ketoconazole interacts with drugs such as disopyramide, dofetilide, dronedarone, methadone, pimozide, quinidine, ranolazine, among others. These interactions may increase the risk of a certain condition that affects the heart rhythm (QT prolongation).

If you miss a dose of Danfree 2% Shampoo, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
