Decapeptyl 0.1mg Injection is given as an injection under the skin by a qualified medical professional. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.
Triptorelin (trip" toe rel' in) is a decapeptide analogue of gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) that acts on the pituitary to cause the synthesis and release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), two gonadotropins that act on the male testes to stimulate the production of testosterone
The pharmacokinetics of triptorelin follows a 3 compartment model. The half lives are estimated to be 6 minutes, 45 minutes, and 3 hours respectively. In healthy male volunteers, total clearance of triptorelin was 211.9 mL/min.

Triptorelin is indicated for the palliative treatment of advanced prostate cancer.
Chloroquine The risk or severity of QTc prolongation can be increased when Triptorelin is combined with Chloroquine.
Chlorpheniramine The risk or severity of QTc prolongation can be increased when Triptorelin is combined with Chlorpheniramine

Decapeptyl 0.1mg Injection helps in the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic prostate cancer.
It is given as an injection either under the skin or into a muscle.
It may cause dizziness and visual disturbances. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
It will cause menstrual periods to stop. Periods will resume 7-12 weeks after the final injection. Consult your doctor if you experience menstrual bleed despite treatment.
Use non-hormonal methods of contraception such as condoms to prevent pregnancy during treatment, as this medicine may be harmful to a developing baby.
Long term treatment may lead to bone loss and a higher risk of bone fractures, especially if you are a heavy drinker, a smoker, or have a family history of osteoporosis.
It may also be used to treat endometriosis and precocious puberty (premature puberty).
