Dejac-T Tablet works by helping to relax the blood vessels in your penis, allowing blood to flow into your penis when you get sexually excited. It may be taken with or without food. Take it as advised by your doctor, before having sexual activity.Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, indigestion, headache, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), nosebleeds, and dry mouth. It even causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.It should be used with caution in patients with a history of seizures, depression, and other psychiatric disorders. Before you take this medicine, let your doctor also know if you have any history of heart, kidney, or liver diseases.
Dejac-T Tablet is a combination of two medicines : Tadalafil and Dapoxetine, which treat premature ejaculation. Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitor which works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation and enables its erection following sexual stimulation. Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the level of serotonin in nerves to improve control over ejaculation and increase the time taken to ejaculate.
Tadalafil (Cialis®) is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and is a potent, reversible, competitive inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5), an enzyme that inactivates cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).Dapoxetine is a white powder substance and water-insoluble. Taken 1–3 hours before sexual activity, it is rapidly absorbed in the body. Its maximum plasma concentration (Cmax) is reached 1–2 hours after oral administration.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

TADALAFIL+DAPOXETINE may have interaction with anti-hypertensive (amlodipine, lisinopril, losartan, metoprolol, riociguat), alpha-blockers (tamsulosin), anti-anginal (nitroglycerin), anti-fungal (ketoconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin), anti-TB (rifampicin), anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine), anti-HIV (ritonavir, saquinavir, nelfinavir), pain-killers (tramadol), anti-depressants (lithium, nefazodone), MAO inhibitor (Isocarboxazid, Phenelzine, Selegiline, and Tranylcypromine).
Do not chew, crush or break it. Dejac-T Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Dejac-T Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
Take it 1 to 3 hours before anticipated sexual activity.
Do not take it more than once every 24 hours or every day.
Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how Dejac-T Tablet affects you.
It may cause sudden drop in your blood pressure. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
Inform your doctor if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
Do not take Dejac-T Tablet if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months, or stroke or heart failure in the past 6 months.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dejac-T Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Q. Can I drive while I am taking Dejac-T Tablet?
No, taking Dejac-T Tablet may make you feel sleepy and dizzy. So, do not drive or use machines while taking this medicine.
Q. What all should I inform my doctor before taking Dejac-T Tablet?
Before you start taking Dejac-T Tablet tell your doctor if you have or have had heart problems such as a heart attack, irregular heartbeat, angina, chest pain or had heart surgery within the last 6 months. Inform you doctor if you have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
Q. Can the use of Dejac-T Tablet cause dryness in the mouth?
Yes, the use of Dejac-T Tablet can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry.
Q. What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Dejac-T Tablet?
Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
Q. How much time does Dejac-T Tablet take to become effective?
It should be taken approximately 1 to 3 hours before a sexual activity is anticipated. The effect may last for almost 4-5 hours, which is enough to complete the actual intercourse and to treat erectile dysfunction in most men.
