Demolox 50mg Tablet is normally taken before bedtime because it can make you feel sleepy. It can be taken with or without food, but you should take it at a fixed time each day for better efficacy. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. If you have missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication must not be stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor. Your dose may be modified or gradually decreased before stopping the medication. This medicine usually shows a quick response and provides fast relief from the symptoms.
The primary mechanism of action of amoxapine is through inhibition of presynaptic reuptake of norepinephrine; patients should not take it alongside other antidepressants or drugs which impart similar effects, such as MAO inhibitors

Demolox 50mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Taking MAO inhibitors with this medication may cause a serious (possibly fatal) drug interaction. Avoid taking MAO inhibitors (isocarboxazid, linezolid, metaxalone, methylene blue, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, rasagiline, safinamide, selegiline, tranylcypromine) during treatment with this medication

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Demolox 50mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It is not advisable to drink alcohol during treatment with this medicine as it might worsen the drowsiness. Let your doctor know if you have any problems with your liver or kidneys and if you are on any medicines or supplements. This is because medicines may have interactions with each other and cause allergic reactions that can sometimes be serious.
