Depnoc 25mg Tablet works by increasing the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that stabilizes and enhances the mood. It is better to take it before bedtime because it can make you feel drowsy. It can be taken with or without food, but you should take it at a fixed time each day for better efficacy. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication must not be stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor. Your dose may be modified or gradually decreased before stopping the medication.
Dosulepin inhibits the reuptake of biogenic amines, increasing available neurotransmitter levels at the synaptic cleft. The use of dosulepsin is only recommended in patients who are intolerant or unresponsive to alternative antidepressant therapies
Dosulepin is readily absorbed from the small intestine and is extensively metabolized on first-pass through the liver into its chief active metabolite, northiaden. Peak plasma concentrations of between 30.4 and 279 ng/mL (103–944 nmol/L) occur within 2–3 hours of oral administration

Dosulepin is contraindicated for patients with severe liver disease. Dosulepin is contraindicated for patients with known hypersensitivity to Dosulepin hydrochloride or any the excipients. Depression is associated with an increased risk of suicidal thoughts, self harm and suicide (suicide-related events).
Depnoc 25mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Depnoc 25mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Depnoc 25mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Depnoc 25mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It may cause sleepiness. Take it at bedtime and do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.

Monitor your weight during the treatment as this medicine can cause weight gain and increased appetite.
