Dermowax Ear Drop is to be used only in the affected ear. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.This medicine is generally safe to use and has minimal side effects. However, if you experience any symptoms which you think are due to this medicine, consult your doctor.If this medicine goes into the eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse it off with plenty of water. Ask the advice of your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let your doctor also know if you have any known allergies to any of the components of this medicine.
Dermowax Ear Drop acts as a wax softener and helps remove hard wax from the ear. This reduces pain in the ear and aids in better hearing. Dermowax Ear Drop also stops the growth of bacteria and fungus in the ear. Treating the infection reduces pain and swelling in the ear.
The mode of action of paradichlorobenzene on non-target organisms is not precisely known, but may involve the binding of its oxidative metabolites such as the epoxide to proteins within the cells of mammals. Dichlorophenol, a product of epoxide hydrolysis, may be involved in nephropathy.Benzocaine reversibly stabilizes the neuronal membrane which decreases its permeability to sodium ions. Depolarization of the neuronal membrane is inhibited thereby blocking the initiation and conduction of nerve impulses.After the first dose of chlorbutol, the terminal elimination half-life was 10.3 +/-1.3 days (mean +/- S.E.M), the volume of distribution was 233 +/- 141 and the plasma clearance was 11.6 +/- 1.0 ml min-1. The binding to plasma proteins was 57 +/- 3 per cent.

Paradichlorobenzene+Benzocaine+Chlorbutol is used in the treatment of ear infection.Paradichlorobenzene is an ear wax softener which dissolves the ear wax while exerting antibacterial and antifungal actions. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain.
Paradichlorobenzene,Benzocaine AND Chlorbutol may have interaction with inflamed ear canal, perforated eardrum, eczema (skin inflammation) on the outer ear, hearing problems (including deafness), intestinal problems (including blockage, swelling, ulcers), kidney problems, myasthenia gravis (neuromuscular disease) and Parkinson's disease.
Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside ear.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Dermowax Ear Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

The best time to use this medicine is before you go to bed.
Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear.
To make sure that the right amount of medication is given, and to avoid touching the ear with the dropper, have another person give the drops if possible.
Never put cotton bud or anything else in your ear to try and clear the wax yourself.
Make sure not to use the open bottle more than 4 weeks.
