Deximon P Eye Drop is strictly advised to be used only in the eyes. Use it in the prescribed dose and duration. Apply it only to the affected eyes. You must wash your hand before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. The medicine should not be stopped suddenly without a doctor's consultation.
Polymyxin-B is an antibiotic that alters the permeability of the cell membrane of the bacteria which results in the death of the infection-causing organism.
Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone + Polymyxin B is a combination of two antibiotics (Chloramphenicol , Polymyxin B) and a steroid ( Dexamethasone ). The antibiotics work by killing the bacteria or stopping their growth. Together, they treat your infection effectively. The steroid blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hypersensitivity to Deximon P Eye Drops is a contraindication. In addition, Deximon P Eye Drops should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Concomitant use of penicillins

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Deximon P Eye Drops may change. Deximon P Eye Drops may interact with the following drugs and products:
Amoxicillin

Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Deximon P Eye Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Deximon P Eye Drop for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Do not use Deximon P Eye Drop for more than the prescribed duration as it may cause glaucoma or secondary infection.
Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contamination.
Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
Throw away any medicine left at the end of the 5 day course.

No, do not stop using Deximon P Eye Drop and complete the full course of treatment. Your symptoms may improve and you may start to feel better before the infection is completely cured. But continue taking your medicine for the duration advised by your doctor.

Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.

Wash your hands before using Deximon P Eye Drop to avoid contamination, and do not touch the tip of the dropper. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using this medicine. For using this medicine, tilt your head back, look up, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch and then put Deximon P Eye Drop (drop or ointment).

If you apply excess of Deximon P Eye Drop accidentally, wash your eye with plenty of water. Contact your doctor immediately if eye irritation occurs even after washing off this medicine.
