Depending on the severity of your problem, DFO 1.16% Spray can be used 2 to 4 times each day to the affected area. It should be applied to the skin slowly and evenly until it is rubbed in. It should not be used too frequently, and the treated region should not be covered with a bandage or plaster. DFO 1.16% Spray contains Diclofenac diethylamine, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate, and Menthol. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Diclofenac diethylamine and Menthol act by inhibiting the release of particular chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Linseed Oil is a plant-based oil that helps to reduce inflammation and increase blood flow at the application site. It also improves Diclofenac diethylamine penetration through the skin. On the skin, Methyl Salicylate has a cooling effect.
