Dilosyn Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and how often you take it will depend on what you are being treated for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Take it for as long as it is prescribed to you. In case, you have missed any doses, take the next dose as soon as you remember it. However, you should never take a double dose.Sleepiness is the most common side effect of this medicine. Avoid driving or attention-seeking activity. In some cases, it may cause dryness of mouth. To prevent dry mouth, drink more water and maintain good oral hygiene.
This medicine works by reducing the concentration of certain chemical substances in the body (histamines) which are responsible for causing allergic reactions.
Methdilazine binds to the histamine H1 receptor. This blocks the action of endogenous histamine, which subsequently leads to temporary relief of the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Dilosyn Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Dilosyn Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

This medication is an antihistamine, prescribed for allergic skin disorders. It blocks histamine action, which reduces allergy symptoms.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Dilosyn Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Dilosyn Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Bromocriptine
Cisapride
Dexfenfluramine
Diethylpropion
Donepezil
Fenfluramine
Galantamine
Do not chew, crush or break it. Dilosyn Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Dilosyn Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
Avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery as it may decrease alertness.
Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Dilosyn Tablet, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
