Dine 5mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and drug-induced abnormal movements. It helps by improving muscle control and reducing the stiffness of the muscles so that they can move easily.

Pharmacokinets

After oral dosing the mean peak plasma concentration was 116 ng/ml and mean bioavailability was 75%. After both oral and intravenous dosing the mean values for the volume of distribution, total body clearance and plasma elimination half-life of procyclidine were in the order of 1 l/kg, 68 ml/min and 12 h respectively.

Indications

Procyclidine is indicated in all forms of Parkinson's disease: idiopathic (paralysis agitans), post encephalitic and arteriosclerotic.


Interactions

The therapeutic efficacy of Procyclidine can be decreased when used in combination with Aprotinin. The risk or severity of Tachycardia can be increased when Procyclidine is combined with Arbutamine. The risk or severity of Tachycardia can be increased when Procyclidine is combined with Arformoterol.
