Dioflox 100mg Infusion is given as an injection into a vein (intravenous), in cases where oral administration is not possible, such as in hospitalized or unconscious patients. It is administered by a healthcare professional. Kindly do not self-administer. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Ofloxacin is a quinolone antimicrobial agent. The mechanism of action of ofloxacin and other fluoroquinolone antimicrobials involves inhibition of bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase (both of which are type II topoisomerases), enzymes required for DNA replication, transcription, repair and recombination.
The pharmacokinetics of ofloxacin are characterised by almost complete bioavailability (95 to 100%), peak serum concentrations in the range of 2 to 3 mg/L after a 400mg oral dose and an average half-life of 5 to 8h.

Dioflox 100mg Infusion is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Tablets are indicated for the treatment of adults with mild to moderate infections (unless otherwise indicated) caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the infections listed below.
Some products that may interact with this drug include: "blood thinners" (such as acenocoumarol, warfarin), strontium. Many drugs besides ofloxacin may affect the heart rhythm (QT prolongation), including dofetilide, procainamide, amiodarone, quinidine, sotalol, among others. Ofloxacin is very similar to levofloxacin.

Discontinue Dioflox 100mg Infusion and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.

Yes, the use of Dioflox 100mg Infusion can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.

No, do not stop taking Dioflox 100mg Infusion and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

Yes, use of Dioflox 100mg Infusion is known to increase the risk of muscle damage, commonly in the ankle (achilies tendon). Muscle damage can happen in people of all ages who take Dioflox 100mg Infusion. Inform your doctor if you feel any kind of muscle pain while using this medicine.
