Diominic 6mg Tablet SR should be taken with or without food. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. In case, you missed any doses, take the next dose as soon as you remember it. However, you should never take a double dose.
Diominic 6mg Tablet SR is used to treat many different inflammatory and allergic conditions. It helps treat runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. It works by lowering your immune system's response to these conditions and prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation.
Dexchlorpheniramine can be used in the treatment of perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhiniti, allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods, mild uncomplicated allergic skin manifestations of urticaria and angioedema, amelioration of allergic reactions to blood or plasma
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Diominic 6mg Tablet SR is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Diominic 6mg Tablet SR may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Diominic 6mg Tablet SR is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Diominic 6mg Tablet SR may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Dexchlorpheniramine is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergy, hay fever, and the common cold. These symptoms may include rash, watery eyes, itchy eyes/nose/throat/skin, cough, runny nose, and sneezing.
DEXCHLORPHENIRAMINE may interact with medicines used to treat depression such as tricyclic antidepressants (e.g. amitriptyline, amoxapine), strong/narcotic pain killers (e.g. codeine, morphine), medicines used to stop blood clotting (e.g. warfarin), and antianxiety medicines (alprazolam).
Do not chew, crush or break it. Diominic 6mg Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Diominic 6mg Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
Avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery as it may decrease alertness.
Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Diominic 6mg Tablet SR, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
Diominic 6mg Tablet SR should not be used in children less than 12 years of age.
Patients with other underlying medical conditions must consult their doctor before taking Diominic 6mg Tablet SR.
Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should not take this medicine unless prescribed by a doctor.
Diominic 6mg Tablet SR should not be taken by patients taking Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, etc.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Diominic 6mg Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
