This medication may be taken with or without food and It is better to take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma, hypertension or any type of heart problem.Dizziness may occur as its side effect, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus.
Diominic D Tablet acts as a decongestant. The drug leads blood vessel constriction, in areas of the body like the nose, sinuses as well as the chest. Constriction of these areas helps in drainage, which consequently helps in decongestion.
The drug was shown to be rapidly absorbed with a mean tmaxof 1.47 ± 0.49 h and a mean elimination half-life of 4.0 ± 0.5 h. Phenylpropanolamine is predominantly excreted via the kidney with a mean renal clearance of 0.646 ± 0.089 liter/kg/h and 90.2 ± 1.7% excreted unchanged in the urine.Dexchlorpheniramine can be used in the treatment of perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhiniti, allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods, mild uncomplicated allergic skin manifestations of urticaria and angioedema, amelioration of allergic reactions to blood or plasma.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hypersensitivity to Diominic D Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Diominic D Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Glaucoma
Hypersensitivity
Hypertension
Hyperthyroidism
Intestinal obstruction
Prostatic hypertrophy
Diominic D Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Diominic D Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Phenylpropanolamine + Dexchlorpheniramine is a combination of two medicines: Phenylpropanolamine and Dexchlorpheniramine which relieve common cold symptoms. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Dexchlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Diominic D Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Diominic D Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Acebutolol
Alcohol
Antipsychotics
Atropine
Bromocriptine
Debrisoquine
Doxepin
Ephedrine
Furazolidone
Guanethidine
Do not chew, crush or break it. Diominic D Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Diominic D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Phenylpropanolamine
Do not continue phenylpropanolamine for more than 7 days if your condition does not improve or if you have high fever.
Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, liver or kidney disease, diabetes, prostate enlargement or visual problems due to increased pressure in the eyes (glaucoma).
Seek immediate medical attention and discontinue medication if you experience difficulty in breathing, sudden swelling or skin reactions, fits, rapid heartbeat or hallucinations.
Use with caution if you are a woman or an elderly patient. Woman may be at a higher risk of haemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in the brain).
Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy or drowsy after taking phenylpropanolamine.
Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Do not take if allergic to phenylpropanolamine or any of its ingredients.
Dexchlorpheniramine
Avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery as it may decrease alertness.
Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Dexchlorpheniramine, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
Dexchlorpheniramine should not be used in children less than 12 years of age.
Patients with other underlying medical conditions must consult their doctor before taking Dexchlorpheniramine.
Dexchlorpheniramine should not be taken by patients taking Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, etc.
Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should not take this medicine unless prescribed by a doctor.
