Diozyme Tablet is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Diozyme Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pancreatin and Dimethicone. Pancreatin is a digestive enzyme that helps in digestion of food. Dimethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
Pancreatin contains high levels of biologically active pancreatic enzymes (lipase, amylase, and protease). The enzymes catalyse the hydrolysis of fats into glycerol and fatty acids, proteins into proteases and derived substances, and starch into dextrins and sugars.As dimethicone is pharmacologically inert and it is not absorbed, pharmacokinetic studies regarding the volume of distribution are not relevant. Dimethicone 410 does not bind to plasma proteins as it is not absorbed. Dimethicone 410 is not metabolized and it is excreted unchanged.

If you miss a dose of Diozyme Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Talk to your doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like less urination with dark colored and strong-smelling urine.
