Dipane MR 50mg/325mg/2mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Paracetamol, Diclofenac, and Tizanidine. Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer) and Diclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause fever and pain respectively. Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.
Diclofenac binds extensively to plasma albumin. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) of diclofenac is proportional to the dose for oral doses between 25 to 150 mg. Substantial concentrations of drug are attained in synovial fluid, which is the proposed site of action for NSAIDs.It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates. The pharmacokinetics of tizanidine appeared to be linear in the 0-20 mg dose range, as indicated by the dose-proportional blood levels of total radioactivity as well as of parent drug. Absorbed tizanidine was almost completely metabolized before excretion, the major excretory route being via the kidneys.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
