Disnim P 50 mg/125 mg Syrup works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger that is known to cause fever and inflammation. Adhere to the prescribed dose, time, and way while giving this medicine to your child. It can be given orally before or after meals. However, it is best to give this medicine to your child after meals as this will prevent the chance of developing an upset stomach. Try giving it at a fixed time so that it becomes a part of your child’s daily routine and helps prevent missing a dose.
Disnim P 50 mg/125 mg Syrup comprises two active ingredients: Nimesulide and Paracetamol. These medicines work by blocking the action of chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever, and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Nimesulide is rapidly distributed and has an apparent volume of distribution ranging between 0.18 and 0.39 L/kg. It is extensively bound to albumin; the unbound fraction in plasma was 1%. The unbound fraction increased to 2 and 4% in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates.
Disnim P 50 mg/125 mg Syrup does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child’s doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. The most common side effects include-

If you have problems related to blood clotting, bleeding disorders.
If you have serious heart failure problems or heart-related disorders.
It should not be used in patients less than 12 years old, pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers.

This medication is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, prescribed for painful inflammatory conditions, back pain, dysmenorrhea, postoperative pain, osteoarthritis, and fever
NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL is shown to interact with various drugs. Some of them include lithium, anticancer/antimetabolites (methotrexate), blood thinner or anticoagulant (warfarin, coumadin, aspirin), blood pressure or heart medicine, nausea medicine (metoclopramide, domperidone), diuretic/water pills (thiazides, furosemide), steroid medicine (prednisone), quinolones antibiotics (ciprofloxacin), respiratory medicines (theophyllines, ephedrine), immune system affecting medicine (cyclosporine), cholesterol-reducing medicine (colestyramine) and antidepressants (duloxetine). These drugs may affect the working of NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL and may alter its efficacy.

Do not panic. Unless your doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you may give the missed dose if it’s not more than 12 hours late. If it is almost time for the next dose, do not give a double dose and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
Maintain a log of your child’s temperature. If you do not see any improvement, contact your child’s doctor for advice.
Give plenty of fluids to your child, if diarrhea occurs as a side-effect.
If your child exhibits signs of inflammation like redness or swelling,try placing an ice-pack over the affected area to reduce redness and swelling.
Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects.
Stop the medicine and consult your child’s doctor in case your child exhibits allergic rash or stomach pain soon after taking this medicine.

You may be required to give Disnim P 50 mg/125 mg Syrup to your child for a few days to weeks, depending upon the severity of the infection.If your child continues to feel unwell even after completion of the full prescribed course of the medicine, consult your child’s doctor as soon as possible.

Although Disnim P 50 mg/125 mg Syrup is well-tolerated by children, if you notice your child experiencing any intolerable episodes like persistent vomiting, body swelling, decreased urine frequency, or serious allergic reaction, rush to your doctor on an immediate basis.
