Ditryp H Tablet is taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the blood. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Never skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Taking this medicine for a long time may require regular monitoring of blood and liver functions.
Ditryp H Tablet works by affecting the balance of certain chemicals (such as serotonin) in the brain. It helps improve mood and feelings of wellbeing, relieve anxiety and tension, helps you sleep better, and increase your energy level. It is an effective antidepressant but may cause drowsiness.
Amitriptyline undergoes extensive hepatic presystemic elimination, and its systemic bioavailability ranges from 33% to 62% after oral administration [2]. A highly lipophilic compound, amitriptyline is widely distributed throughout the body and extensively bound to tissue and plasma proteins.Chlordiazepoxide is a long-acting benzodiazepine drug. The half-life of Chlordiazepoxide is 5 – 30 hours but has an active benzodiazepine metabolite (desmethyldiazepam), which has a half-life of 36 – 200 hours.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Ditryp H Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Ditryp H Tablet.
Ditryp H Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline combination is used to treat mental depression that occurs with anxiety or nervous tension.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Ditryp H Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ditryp H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Ditryp H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It can take a week or two after starting this treatment before the effect begins to build up, and 4-6 weeks before you feel the full benefit. Do not stop taking it after a week or two, feeling it is not helping.
Do not stop taking Ditryp H Tablet unless your doctor tells you to do so. Stopping treatment suddenly can cause problems and your doctor will probably want you to reduce your dose gradually when this becomes necessary.

The use of Ditryp H Tablet can affect the sexual life of both men and women. Most commonly caused problems are decreased sexual desire, erectile dysfunction (inability to develop or maintain erection during the sexual activity) and inability to reach orgasm. It can also cause a decrease in satisfaction and cause discomfort while having sex. If you experience these problems, discuss with your doctor.

No, do not drink alcohol while you are taking Ditryp H Tablet. Drinking alcohol can increase the severity of drowsiness or sleepiness caused by Ditryp H Tablet.
