Dixin Tablet is a cardiac glycoside that makes the heart pump more efficiently and increases blood circulation throughout the body.

Pharmacokinets

Digoxin is extensively distributed in the tissues, as reflected by the large volume of distribution. High concentrations are found in the heart and kidneys, but the skeletal muscles form the largest digoxin storage. The half-life of elimination in healthy persons varies between 26 and 45 hours.

Indications

Digoxin is indicated in the following conditions: For the treatment of mild to moderate heart failure in adult patients. To increase myocardial contraction in children diagnosed with heart failure. To maintain control ventricular rate in adult patients diagnosed with chronic atrial fibrillation.

Interactions

Erythromycin and tetracycline (antibiotics)

Antiarrhythmic drugs (amiodarone)

Calcium channel blockers.

Over-the-counter antacids.

Hawthorn (an herbal remedy)

Black licorice.

Large amounts of oatmeal, milk and high-fibre cereals.

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Dixin 0.25mg Injection, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
