Dizec Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Pancreatin, Simethicone and Sodium Tauroglycocholate. Pancreatin and Sodium Tauroglycocholate are digestive enzymes that help in digestion of food. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
Pancreatin contains high levels of biologically active pancreatic enzymes (lipase, amylase, and protease). The enzymes catalyse the hydrolysis of fats into glycerol and fatty acids, proteins into proteases and derived substances, and starch into dextrins and sugars.Simethicone decreases the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their expulsion. It has a short duration of action as it is generally given as needed, and a wide therapeutic index as it is not systemically absorbed.Sodium Tauroglycocholate is used in the treatment of indigestion and pancreatitis. Sodium Tauroglycocholate is a digestive enzyme that helps in digestion of food.
