DMR 30MG TABLET contains Dextromethorphan, which is a cough suppressant. It works by blocking the cough receptor present in the brain, which is known to cause cough. DMR 30MG TABLET is generally prescribed for short term treatment of dry cough.

Pharmacokinets

Dextromethorphan is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and converted into the active metabolite dextrorphan in the liver by the cytochrome P450 enzyme CYP2D6. The average dose necessary for effective antitussive therapy is between 10 and 45 mg, depending on the individual.

Dextromethorphan is used to temporarily relieve cough caused by the common cold, the flu, or other conditions. Dextromethorphan will relieve a cough but will not treat the cause of the cough or speed recovery. Dextromethorphan is in a class of medications called antitussives.

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of DMR 30mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
