Dobier S 50mg Injection is also used while performing stress echocardiography evaluation of the heart. It is administered under the supervision of a doctor as it requires continuous blood pressure monitoring. The dose has to be individually adjusted as per the patient's response to therapy. You should continue all your other medicines that are advised by the doctor for your long-term treatment even after this injection. Your doctor may advise for regular monitoring of blood pressure. It may cause side effects like high blood pressure and insomnia (difficulty in sleeping). You must inform the doctor if you are suffering from any liver or kidney disease. Also, let your doctor know about all the other medications that you are using regularly.
In clinical use, dobutamine has a rapid onset of action and a short half-life. It increases myocardial contractility, while the reflex reduction in sympathetic tone, in response to augmentation of stroke volume, leads to a decrease in total peripheral resistance.
plasma levels of dobutamine were monitored to determine the elimination half-life. The disappearance half-life of dobutamine was calculated to be 2.37 ± 0.7 min and the distribution volume was 0.202 ± 0.084 Llkg. The limited data suggest that the volume of distribution of dobutamine was related to the extent of edema.

Common side effects of Dobier S
High blood pressure
Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping)
The medication is contraindicated in patients with acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, left main stem disease, severe hypertension, arrhythmias, acute myocarditis or pericarditis, hypokalemia and idiopathic hypertrophic sub-aortic stenosis.
Dobier S 50mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Dobier S 50mg Injection. Please consult your doctor.
Dobier S 50mg Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Dobutamine is indicated in all paediatric age groups (from neonates to 18 years of age) as inotropic support in low cardiac output hypoperfusion states resulting from decompensated heart failure, following cardiac surgery, cardiomyopathies and in cardiogenic or septic shock.”
There was no evidence of drug interactions in clinical studies in which dobutamine was administered concurrently with other drugs, including
digitalis preparations,
furosemide,
spironolactone,
lidocaine,
nitroglycerin,
isosorbide dinitrate,
morphine,
atropine,
heparin,
protamine,
potassium chloride,
folic acid, and
acetaminophen.
