Dolasafe A Plus Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Taking the medicine regularly at the right times increases its effectiveness. It is important to keep taking the medicine regularly until your doctor tells you it is safe to stop. Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, heartburn, loss of appetite, and diarrhea are some of the common side effects that might be observed on taking this medicine. Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function, and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment. Long-term use may lead to serious complications such as stomach bleeding and kidney problems. Dolasafe A Plus Tablet is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Mechanism Of Action

Aceclofenac works by blocking the action of an enzyme known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) which causes pain and swelling in the injured or damaged tissue. Paracetamol acts as a mild analgesic (pain reducer) and antipyretic (fever reducer) which enhances the pain relief action of aceclofenac.

Aceclofenac (AC), a phenyl acetic acid derivative, ({[2-(2,6-dichloroanilino)phenyl]acetyl}oxy)acetic acid, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation with a reduced side effect profile, especially gastrointestinal events that are frequently

It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates.

Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme prescribed in various specialities like surgery, orthopaedics, otorhinolaryngology, gynaecology and dentistry for its anti-inflammatory, anti-edemic and analgesic effects.

Contra Indications

Indications

Dolasafe A Plus Tablet is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and swelling in various conditions like muscle pain, joint pain, and postoperative pain. Thus, it effectively alleviates pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis.

Interactions

Do not take any other medicines containing Paracetamol or Acelofenac while taking Dolasafe A Plus Tablet as there is a risk of liver damage.

If you are taking medicines for high blood pressure, this medicine can interfere with their blood pressure lowering effects.

Medicines like water pills can lead to kidney damage when taken along with Dolasafe A Plus Tablet.

Caution is needed if you are taking medicines to treat heart failure, lithium and methotrexate.

Medicines used to modify immune response during organ transplants like ciclosporin & tacrolimus can result in kidney damage if taken with this medicine.

There is an increased risk of stomach ulcers or bleeding if taken concomitantly with steroids or other pain relief medicines like Aspirin.

There is a risk of bleeding if you are taking blood-thinning medicines like Warfarin and Coumarin.

Increased risk of fits if you are taking Dolasafe A Plus Tablet along with antibiotics like Levofloxacin and Ciprofloxacin.

If you are taking medicines to treat diabetes, be cautious about symptoms of low glucose levels like sweating, anxiety, fast heartbeat and hunger pangs.

Medicines used to treat fits, seizures & depression-like Phenobarbital, Carbamazepine, Phenytoin and Clonazepam should be taken with caution.

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Dolasafe A Plus Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
