Dolfre 50mg Injection is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.
Tramadol is rapidly distributed in the body; plasma protein binding is about 20%. Tramadol is mainly metabolised by O- and N-demethylation and by conjugation reactions forming glucuronides and sulfates. Tramadol and its metabolites are mainly excreted via the kidneys. The mean elimination half-life is about 6 hours.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Dolfre 50mg Injection.
Dolfre 50mg Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Consult a doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness (more than usual), difficulty breastfeeding, breathing problems, or limpness.

It has specific indications for moderate to severe pain. It is considered a class IV drug by the FDA and has been since July of 2014. Due to possible misuse disorder potential, limitations to its use should be for pain that is refractory to other pain medication, such as non-opioid pain medication.

Q. Is there anything I need to be careful about while on therapy with Dolfre 50mg Injection?
Dolfre 50mg Injection may cause drowsiness and dizziness, especially in the beginning of the treatment. Do not drive or work with tools or machinery if your alertness is affected. It is not advisable to drink alcohol during treatment with this medicine as it might increase sleepiness.
