Dolospas 20 mg/500 mg Drop is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. It is better to take it with food to avoid stomach upset. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Dolospas 20 mg/500 mg Drop is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Paracetamol. This medication helps in relieving stomach pain. It works by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and intestine by decreasing the levels of chemical substances in the body that cause pain.
Dicyclomine is 79.5% eliminated in the urine and 8.4% in the feces. The mean plasma elimination half life is approximately 1.8 hours.It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Dolospas 20 mg/500 mg Drop is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Dolospas 20 mg/500 mg Drop.
Dolospas 20 mg/500 mg Drop is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
