Dolsi 1.5mg Tablet can also be used for treating psychosis, mania, severe behavior problems in adults and children. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.
Dolsi 1.5mg Tablet is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.
Haloperidol undergoes extensive metabolism in the liver, with only around 1% of the drug originally administered being excreted in the urine unchanged. The main mode of hepatic clearance is through glucuronidation, reduction and oxidation mediated by CYP3A4.

Dolsi 1.5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Dolsi 1.5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Haloperidol is indicated for the treatment of the manifestations of several psychotic disorders including schizophrenia, acute psychosis, Tourette syndrome, and other severe behavioural states.

It is less likely to cause weight gain as compared to other similar medicines.
Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Dolsi 1.5mg Tablet may cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can cause increased dizziness.
Inform your doctor if you experience any abnormal movements or have difficulty controlling movements.
It may affect how your body regulates your temperature. Avoid getting dehydrated and drink plenty of fluids.
Your doctor may check your heart function and level of electrolytes such as sodium and magnesium before you start treatment with this medicine and regularly thereafter.
Do not stop taking Dolsi 1.5mg Tablet without talking to your doctor first as it may cause worsening of symptoms.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dolsi 1.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
