Domitin C 15 mg/20 mg Capsule is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. It is better to take it with food to avoid stomach upset. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Domitin C 15 mg/20 mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Cinnarizine. Domperidone is an antiemetic and a prokinetic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine (a chemical messenger) in the brain which causes nausea and vomiting.
The absorption of domperidone was very rapid, with mean peak plasma concentration (Cmax) values of 18.8, 15.0, and 20.7 ng/mL attained at 0.9, 1.2, and 0.6 hours after the administration of base tablet, maleate tablet, and solution, respectively. The mean elimination half-life (t1/2) ranged from 12.6 to 16.0 hours.Cinnarizine is most commonly taken orally, in tablet form, with frequency and amount of dosage varying depending on the reason for taking the medication. Once ingested, the substance is absorbed quite rapidly and reaches a peak plasma concentration in 1–3 hours post-administration.

Domperidone+Cinnarizine is used in the treatment of vertigo.Domperidone and Cinnarizine. Domperidone is an antiemetic and a prokinetic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine (a chemical messenger) in the brain which causes nausea and vomiting. Cinnarizine is calcium channel antagonist which works by preventing constriction of the blood vessels of the inner ear. This improves the microcirculation of the ear.
CINNARIZINE+DOMPERIDONE may interact with antidepressants (citalopram, escitalopram, amitriptyline, dosulepin, imipramine), anti-fungal agents (ketoconazole, fluconazole, voriconazole), antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin, moxifloxacin, pentamidine), heart-related drugs (amiodarone, dronedarone, quinidine, disopyramide, dofetilide, sotalol, diltiazem, verapamil), antipsychotics (haloperidol, pimozide, sertindole), stomach related drugs (cisapride, dolasetron, prucalopride), anti-allergic drugs (mequitazine, mizolastine), anti-malarial medicine (halofantrine), anti-cancer drugs (toremifene, vandetanib, vincamine), drugs treating HIV/AIDS (ritonavir), and pain killers (opioids).
