Domril O 10 mg/20 mg Capsule is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Domril O 10 mg/20 mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Omeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach.
The absorption of domperidone was very rapid, with mean peak plasma concentration (Cmax) values of 18.8, 15.0, and 20.7 ng/mL attained at 0.9, 1.2, and 0.6 hours after the administration of base tablet, maleate tablet, and solution, respectively. The mean elimination half-life (t1/2) ranged from 12.6 to 16.0 hours.Omeprazole is completely metabolized in the liver. The two major plasma metabolites are the sulphone and hydroxyomeprazole, neither of which contributes to the antisecretory activity. About 80% of a given dose is excreted in the urine, and the remainder via the bile.

DOMPERIDONE+OMEPRAZOLE belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat heartburn, indigestion, epigastric pain, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
DOMPERIDONE+OMEPRAZOLE may have interactions with epilepsy, mania, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD), liver disease, bone fractures, hypomagnesemia (low levels of magnesium).

If you miss a dose of Domril O 10 mg/20 mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, the use of Domril O 10 mg/20 mg Capsule can cause dry mouth. Dryness of mouth occurs due to Domperidone, which is present in this combination. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips of water during the day and keep some water on your bedside at night. Cut down the intake of alcohol and avoid smoking. If you have dry mouth, try to use alcohol-free mouthwash as its use increases the risk of tooth decay.
