Domstal Mps 10 mg/125 mg Tablet is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Domstal Mps 10 mg/125 mg Tablet is used to prevent nausea and vomiting due to various reasons. It speeds up the passage of food through the stomach into the intestine, which helps prevent vomiting. It also prevents food from flowing upwards. As a result, you will feel less sick and have less tendency to vomit.
The absorption of domperidone was very rapid, with mean peak plasma concentration (Cmax) values of 18.8, 15.0, and 20.7 ng/mL attained at 0.9, 1.2, and 0.6 hours after the administration of base tablet, maleate tablet, and solution, respectively. The mean elimination half-life (t1/2) ranged from 12.6 to 16.0 hours.As dimethicone is pharmacologically inert and it is not absorbed, pharmacokinetic studies regarding the volume of distribution are not relevant. Dimethicone 410 does not bind to plasma proteins as it is not absorbed. Dimethicone 410 is not metabolized and it is excreted unchanged.

Domperidone+Dimethicone is used in the treatment of vomiting. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Dimethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Domperidone / Dimethicone may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Domperidone / Dimethicone may interact with the following drugs and products:
Amiodarone
Amprenavir
Antacids
Aprepitant
Atazanavir
Atropine
Clarithromycin
Diltiazem
Erythromycin
Fluconazole

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Domstal Mps 10 mg/125 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Domstal Mps 10 mg/125 mg Tablet is prescribed to prevent nausea and vomiting.
Take your doses about half an hour before meals.
Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
Do not take it for longer than 7 days without consulting your doctor.
