You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Peptic ulcer disease is a condition in which painful sores or ulcers develop in the inner lining of the stomach or gut (intestine). Domstal Plus Capsule SR reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes which prevents further damage to the ulcer as it heals naturally. You may be given other medicines along with this medicine depending on what caused the ulcer. You need to keep taking the medicine as it is prescribed for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear.
Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.

It is used in the treatment of gastrointestinal reflux disease, not responding to Omeprazole. This condition leads to acid regurgitating from the stomach into the food pipe, causing heartburn, chest discomfort, acidity, etc.
It is better to take Domstal Plus Capsule before meals, as when taken after meals, the absorption of the medicine is slightly delayed. Symptoms of nausea and vomiting may usually resolve with 3-4 days after taking Domstal Plus Capsule. However, if it does not resolve even after this, stop taking this medicine and contact doctor. Do not take Domstal Plus Capsule for longer than seven days. The most common side effect of Domstal Plus Capsule is dry mouth. These side effects are temporary and may resolve after some time; however, if this side persists, contact the doctor. Try to avoid caffeine-containing beverages (coffee, tea), spicy/deep fried/processed foods, carbonated drinks, acidic foods like citrus fruits/vegetables (tomatoes). Before taking Domstal Plus Capsule, contact your doctor if you suffer from liver problems, kidney problems (kidney function impairment or failure).
Oral: once daily Domstal Plus Capsule SR is to be taken empty stomach.

If you miss a dose of Domstal Plus Capsule SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, the use of Domstal Plus Capsule SR can cause dry mouth. Dryness of mouth occurs due to Domperidone, which is present in this combination. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips of water during the day and keep some water on your bedside at night. Cut down the intake of alcohol and avoid smoking. If you have dry mouth, try to use alcohol-free mouthwash as its use increases the risk of tooth decay.
